Amy Myers, Alyssa Johnson, (Directors/ Performers) & John Gable (Sound Score) (USA)

Amy Myers is an independent movement artist, choreographer, aerial instructor and creator. After receiving her BFA in Ballet and Modern Dance at TCU, she went on to work with Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth, Ellen Bartel Dance Collective, Andrea Ariel Dance, Blipswitch, and other Texas based dance companies. She choreographed the movement for Kesha’s “Here Comes the Change” lyric video, and has worked with several other musical artists, including Knifight, Golden Dawn Arkestra, Sorne, Band of Heathens, Nightdrive, Fort Never, and more. Amy is also a rehearsal director and aerialist for Blue Lapis Light, a sight specific aerial dance company, with whom she has enjoyed dancing on buildings, defenestrating herself, and roller skating on bungee cords (among other exciting feats). As an actor, she appears in several independent films, including The Happy Poet and Katy McCarthy’s The Violinist, in which she plays the titular role.

Alyssa Johnson, founder and artistic director of Paracosm Dance, is a multimedia dance and performance artist, instructor, and visual creator. Training with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, BANDALOOP, and UC Berkeley, she went on to dance as a soloist with Peninsula Ballet Theater under the artistic direction of David Fonnegra, and perform in works by Copious Dance Theater’s Kat Roman, BrickaBrack Theater’s Gabriel Grilli, and Scott Wells & Dancers. She danced as a guest artist with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for Judith Jamison’s retirement tour and choreographed works under the direction of Joe Goode. In Austin, Alyssa has danced with ARCOS Dance, Shakti Moves Dance Company, and Ventana Ballet; she is currently an aerialist with Blue Lapis Light, partner with Nana Ballet, and longtime collaborator with Camera Clay. With Paracosm Dance - a contemporary dance theater company "creating temporary realities through fierce movement" - she focuses on the integration of dance and film, pushing the boundaries of how the mediums can converse and amplify one another.

John Gable is a musician, producer, and video editor. He is a noise artist turned founding member and lead singer of Knifight, a Post Punk band, with whom he has had the pleasure of playing at the Austin City Limits music festival, and opening for greats like Duran Duran and Future Islands. He creates sound scores for live dance performance and film, and is also the editor/photographer for CBS Austin's award winning lifestyle show, We Are Austin.
